Teaching is an art of disseminating knowledge by creating a conducive atmosphere to motivate continuous learning. It is in this role of fostering learning that I see myself making contributions in the teaching profession. This objective, I plan to achieve through lectures that evolves dynamically with my research interests and advancing technology. However, any desire must be complemented with the ability to the task. I believe that a teacher’s responsibility begins with the knowledge of the cognitive map of the class so that a teaching style that fits the learning style of the students can be established to promote ease of learning. From this, it proceeds to planning courses and then to the dissemination of knowledge through an appropriate style and mode. Course plans at the graduate level should be flexible and strike a balance between what will engage the students and what the instructor wishes to teach in the course. Here, the emphasis must be to prepare students to pursue research and motivate self-learning. For example, class projects, writing literature reviews of technical articles, introducing multidisciplinary topics into the curricula should form a part of the course plan. Undergraduate courses, on the other hand, should be more focused and contain information that makes the course a useful tool from which the student may build on to understand more advanced topics. In this case, the teaching style must involve assignments, class discussions that will help in exploring a diversity of perspectives and developing a capacity for clear communication of ideas. I strongly believe and felt during my degree courses that every student exaggerate their eagerness if they find any content trendier and assist them in acquiring an excellent career. Accordingly, the syllabus must be designed on the basis of advance technology which has been ongoing to bring good knowledge to the students.
